Bodnant Garden, one of the finest gardens in Europe, set in 80 acres of magnificent grounds in the beautiful Conwy Valley.

Penrhyn Castle is an extravagant example of early 19th century architecture. Its architect Thomas Hopper filled the castle with intricate carvings, treasures and works of art, including works by Rembrandt, Gainsborough and Canaletto. Penrhyn’s 45 acres of grounds includes woodland walks, parkland, and a formal walled garden with many exotic plants and shrubs.

Plas Newydd, home of the Marquess of Anglesey, is famous for its association with Rex Whistler, whose largest painting is here. Enjoy the fine spring garden and Australian arboretum with a mass of wild flowers and shrubs, as well as a summer terrace. A woodland walk gives access to a marine walk on the Menai Strait.

Or alternatively 4 star graded Guest House accommodation in the village of Betws y Coed nestling deep in the heart of the Conwy Valley. Art in the Heart of the Mother of Wales
4 day package

If you just simply want to indulge your love of the arts, this break will provide the perfect location for a relaxing and enjoyable break with a difference. Set in the beautiful unspoilt South West corner of Anglesey, your accommodation, a newly converted barn, stands within 7 acres of peaceful countryside overlooking fields leading down to the River Braint. A series of gardens complete with a moated conservatory in a separate walled area means you can enjoy quiet spots for private time. Warm summer days can be spent relaxing around the outdoor

heated pool, or simply nestle around log fires on cooler evenings.

A Typical Course Programme

Day 1 - Arrive from 5pm onwards for afternoon tea, and traditional Welsh Bara Brith. Followed by time to relax, and meet fellow course participants.
At around 7pm join for a drink and an opportunity to meet the course trainer over a 3 course evening meal. This is an opportunity to discuss how the particular course will develop and any individual requirements.
Day 2 & Day 3 - Breakfast will be served between 8 & 9.30am.
The course will run from around 10am to 4pm. Leisurely coffee, refreshments and lunch breaks are provided.
At 4pm you have the chance of some free time around the pool, a seaside walk or a visit to the local gallery, Oriel Ynys Môn at Llangefni.
6pm to 8pm - free time and/or option of Reiki treatment or a Aromatherapy massage from a qualified therapist (This is charged separately).
At 8pm onwards meet for a drink and another great evening meal.
Day 4 - Brunch. Departure around 2pm.

Sea if you get hooked on Anglesey

Enjoy the privilege of fishing in the rich coastal waters off Anglesey. The coastline here is particularly varied and has something to please everyone, remote rock marks, golden sandy beaches, where the only interruption is the mournful cry of the curlews. Video (Fast and Furious Guide to Shore Fishing on Anglesey and North West Wales) This new one-hour video, which provides a fascinating guide to shore fishing in North West Wales. Starting at Penmon it moves on to show off some of the wonderful locations available in this part of the world. Well-known local angler, Mike Flynn, captain to the acclaimed Welsh Fishing Team, presents the video.

Sea Angling on Anglesey Information Guide - provides local knowledge of fish species, locations, bait centres, boat trips and advice on local information. And just to ensure that the tide is right, a local tide time table (Liverpool & Irish Sea) is provided.

Ride 'em in Rhyl

Enjoy safe, self led, traffic free cycling, which follows the coastline from Prestatyn in the East to Llandudno in the West, offering almost 21 miles of unbroken track.

This is part of the National Cycle Network Sustrans Route No 5, and is marked by ceramic mosaic artworks. You’re never too far from a railway station should you decide to take it easy.

Itinerary

Staying in a 16th Century, WTB 4 star graded farmhouse accommodation set in 200 acres of fertile farmland, modernised to provide the comforts of modern living while still retaining its old charm. Itinerary

With a choice of three separate accommodation bases including hotel and self-catering this package is customised to suit all.

Choose from either a 3 star hotel in the picturesque market town of Mold or alternatively the historic medieval market town of Ruthin. You may prefer to stay in a converted old Railway Station, now an award winning guest house, located approximately 1.5 miles from the town centre.

If you prefer more freedom on a self-catering basis, then the pretty little village of Llansannan surrounded by hills is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the heart of Wales. Enjoy the ambiance of the local village pubs both dating back to the 1500’s.

A qualified guide will collect you from your accommodation each day to escort you on two full day tours, both encompassing heritage, culture (including Christian) and the natural eco environment themes.

Day One - will centre around St Winefride’s Well, one of the ‘Seven Wonders of Wales’, the only active British shrine with an unbroken record of pilgrimage. It is renowned for its legend of the Welsh Princess Gwenfrewi. Tour extends to the surrounding area and lasts approx 4.5 hours.

Day Two – will encompass Denbigh Castle and its environs. The castle and Town Walls built in 1282 by Edward I’s general Henry de Lacy, remains the Borderlands largest, strongest and best preserved fortress. Tour lasts approx. 5 hours. Time for lunch stops in local pubs or restaurants built in.
