Holywell

(see also: Mold | Buckley | Deeside | Flint | Bagillt | Chester)

Holywell’s name is derived from St Winifride’s Holy Well which is one of the Seven Wonders of Wales.

The town itself has a leisure centre and golf club.

Nearby on the coast road is the Abakhan Fabrics Mill and Craft shop, which also houses a coffee shop and adventure playground.

At the Greenfield Valley park lie the ruins of Basingwerk Abbey which was founded in the 12th century. It is a peaceful place to visit.
