Deganwy

(see also: Conwy | Penmaenmawr)

Deganwy has some of the finest views of Snowdonia, the Conwy estuary and Conwy Castle. A few stones on the summit of the Vardre behind the village are all that remains of the once famed Deganwy Castle, bitterly fought over by the Welsh and the English. Nowadays, there is a sandy beach and a number of small shops clustering under a Victorian style canopy.
