Llyn Peninsula - Nefyn

(see also: Pwllheli | Abersoch | Aberdaron)

Nefyn was once the most important place on the Llyn Peninsula, and Porth Dinllaen would have become the main shipping port to Ireland had Holyhead not been chosen instead.

Nefyn was on the pilgrims route to Bardsey Island, and the old church of St Mary is now a maritime museum.

Nefyn, Morfa Nefyn and Porth Dinllaen form a magnificent sweeping bay and are popular with water-sports enthusiasts.
