Penrhyndeudraeth

A village to the south east of Porthmadog on the road to Dolgellau, Penrhyndeudraeth is home to the famous village of Portmeirion, designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis. 

The village has eight shops, three restaurants, a children’s play area, a free audio-visual show, woodland walks and sandy beaches, and was immortalised in the TV series “The Prisoner”.
